The wedding uniting Joy Alozie and Gan Alozie in marriage occurred on January 5th and 6th, 2007, at the bride’s family house and at the PSSDC Gardens respectively in Lagos, Nigeria. With only three months to plan the wedding, the coordination process was swift with the ceremony and reception location picked within one week. The traditional wedding was quite colourful and displayed the rich bini culture. |

In keeping with the bride’s wishes, the décor and theme of the wedding incorporated the colors olive green, champagne and fuchsia pink. The wedding paper trousseau, which consisted of invitations and ceremony program, and napkins were all done in olive green and champagne color. The tone was set for the wedding, and color scheme was evident throughout many aspects of the wedding |

Joy wore a white satin halter dress adorned with crystals and carried a nosegay bouquet. The bridesmaids' dresses were olive green two-piece ensembles.The groom wore his own black Armani tux with a beautiful white silk cravat tied in an old English pattern. The groomsmen wore matching suits with champagne colour ties. |

During the reception, the Solek Crew band played light, background music. The guests were treated to a wonderful plated meal and paired with complimentary wine. Vegetarian meals were available to those who requested them. |

The bride and groom cut the bride’s rolled fondant cake. They then proceeded to the dance floor where traditional toasts were made by a playful best man, and a tearful maid of honor. The band played the couple’s favourite song “Olo mi” which they rocked amidst cheers from the guests, the band later kept everyone on the dance floor grooving to the smooth sounds of popular Nigeria artistes. |
